Nanobots "Sleep" study sketch

So, some film-nerds-cum-TMBG-fans (and I suppose I fit that description) are planning to make a fan video for the song "Sleep" from the new They Might Be Giants album, "Nanobots". In the video we are planning to have about 20 panels with simple drawings painted. This is a study for one I made today.

KP Logo Revisions - Vol. 1

Take a look at this and let me know what you think. I was trying to get it to feel more "skull & crossbonesy" but I may have gone too gloomy and foreboding on it. Seems to have a lot to do with the eyes of the bulb's filament wire and the shape thereof. Starts to feel a little Darth Vader.

However this is more reflective of what I think would look good on a black or orange t-shirt. There is a certain pirate punk feel that I like about it, but it still needs to be refined a bit. I'm not sure if I would put the words KEARNS PATROL on with it, but it felt good to sketch it in.

One Size Fits All For One & One For All

So I need a little help with our old coat of arms, because I have a chance to do some silk screen stuff with a friend who is gonna show me how to do it right. I thought I could maybe make some T-shirts. I'm thinking white on a black or orange T.

I welcome any thoughts and or sketches. I recall your versions of this having your special j'ai nas say what.
